Back In The Saddle
September 2, 2008 1:41 pm UncategorizedToday was a transitional morning for us. School started for Emmy, Bailey, Drew, and Grace. Wow! They were so excited. Somehow I don’t remember being so excited for school…then again there is the issue of the school I went to, but that is a post for another day. The kids did great and Michelle didn’t do too bad either. This will be a bittersweet day for her I’m sure. She has homeschooled some or all of our kids for the last 10 years. I’m excited for her and a little nervous at the same time. She is a pretty incredible mommy. We walked our youngest two kids to the bus stop but the older two didn’t want us around…Nice!
We had a great and relaxing Labor Day. Pulled pork, wings, and good friends. Doesn’t get much better than that. I’m looking forward to a great week as we ramp up for our Elevate series beginning on Sunday. I love the story of Nehemiah and I’m looking forward to teaching through it.
I thought Sunday was a nice close to our “side effect” series. I was moved by our worship…loved the flute! It was a good crowd for a holiday week but now it’s time to ramp it up for the fall. I’m convinced that this will be the greatest fall in the history of Fellowship church.

My friends and I were saying the same thing about how excited the kids were for school and how strange that seemed, especially because of the school we went to! I don’t remember being this excited either. If it wasn’t for basketball…
Anyway, I’ll be watching for that post you’re saving for another day! I’m praying the kids are able to keep their excitement and they all have a great school year!
Keep up the good work, John!

Thanks Wendy. Does this mean you are thinking about starting a support group? Glad you and your kids are hanging in there. Wish I could still hoop…My best to your kids!
